The first Free Industrial Zone in the Caucasus, and now the largest shopping mall in the region. RAKIA and its real-estate arm RAKEEN are giving Georgia a complete makeover.
We came here, and it proves that Georgia has a healthy investment environment. And I want to share with you my thoughts about the challenges ahead of us.
The Georgian economy is developing rapidly and the investment environment is becoming more and more attractive. Today, investors have all the conditions necessary to demonstrate their potential and contribute to the economic development of the country. Georgia’s strong economic performance is leading to higher levels of employment and improved quality of life, ushering in state-of-the-art technology, well-developed infrastructure and a prestigious image in the eyes of foreign states.
The RAK Investment Authority’s (RAKIA) vision is to build a diverse economy that enjoys strong, sustainable growth, by attracting investments from domestic and foreign markets. RAKIA structures itself into eight strategic business units. We plan to invest about USD2bn in Georgia over the next five years.
